After nearly 11 years of living in London, Dave (my boyfriend, the blue eyed boy in the pictures) and I decided to leave our comfortable life with great friends, family, a lovely flat in Islington and well paid jobs to explore the world.
We set off June 1st 2011 and after travelling South East Asia for seven weeks (Thailand, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore), Australia for three (we rented a van a drove down the East Coast from Cairns, up to Cape Trib and down to Sydney) and with a small stopover in Oahu, Hawaii we are now based in Canada on a one-year visa.
We landed in Toronto and spent the first six months of our visa there. We have just recently arrived in Vancouver, where we are currently living. And next… watch this space!
I love all food (but not peas, and no, not even pea soup), dogs, hiking and trekking, cycling, scuba diving, skiing, snowshoeing and of course travel.
Before I left Blighty, I worked as the Marketing Manager of the Kennel Club where I directed branding, strategy, social media activity and developed their emarketing launch and strategy. You can find out more about my professional experience here.
